Most people know what Windows XP support was ended by Microsoft in April of 2014. Therefore, people choosing to continue using Windows XP will face security issues due to Microsoft no longer supplying XP security updates.
This changes now, as a new trick revealed by Betanews Fileforum will allow XP users to receive security updates until 2019. The trick is shipped through a registry tweak. The reason this is possible is that Microsoft is still supplying updates for a similar version of Windows called Windows Embedded POSReady 2009. It is based on the Windows XP core, so updates are (to an extent) interchangeable.

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\WPA\PosReady]
"Installed"=dword:00000001
